Tell us a bit about yourself

I do not have any children, but I have a new little fur baby, she’s about eleven weeks old. I also have a bearded dragon! When I’m not working, I like to spend my downtime relaxing watching the latest Netflix series or re-watching some of my favorite movies. I also enjoy spending time with my family and going out trying new foods from restaurants around the city.

Fun fact about you

During the pandemic, I picked up a new hobby of doing my own nails. Over time, I’ve gotten really good at it! I like to try new and creative designs to test my art skills and express my creativity through my nails. When people ask where I get my nails done, they are always so surprised when I tell them I do them myself.

When did you start in LegalTech?

My current position with Xakia is my first time working in the LegalTech industry. 🎉

I started on February 8th, 2022, so this is my introduction into the LegalTech world, and it has been a great experience thus far.

What do you love about LegalTech?

Coming from the financial industry, I’m learning a lot about the legal industry that I had no idea existed. I now have a better understanding of how matter management software makes law firms and in-house Legal Departments' tasks and legal operations workflows and processes more efficient. I am excited to be a part of this great industry and I look forward to more great things to come.

What do you love to see in a successful in-house legal team

What I like to see in a successful team is collaboration. A team that gets along and can collaborate and get things done efficiently. It's important that everyone is doing their part to move towards the same goal, because you can't have too many moving parts and not have everybody on the same page.
