As 2025 comes to a close, many in-house legal teams are reflecting on a familiar challenge: how to keep up with growing demand, increasing complexity, and rising expectations without adding more tools or more manual work.
Xakia's focus remains the same: helping in-house teams stay productive, visible, and in control of their work. That has translated into a series of powerful updates across email, dashboards, intake, and disputes, designed to make day-to-day operations smoother than ever.
At the same time, we’ve been laying the groundwork for something even bigger. In 2026, Xakia will introduce AI, starting with contract review.
Looking ahead: Xakia AI for contract review
AI is quickly becoming part of how legal teams work, but for many in-house teams the challenge is practical adoption rather than experimentation for its own sake. At Xakia, we are focused on delivering tools that deliver simple, powerful and affordable ROI.
In 2026, Xakia will introduce its first AI feature: contract review. This feature will allow you to ingest any contract and have it marked up against your chosen playbook within minutes. The goal is simple: help teams review contracts faster, more consistently, and with greater confidence, while keeping control firmly in the hands of the Legal Team.
We’re opening an early pilot for customers who want to help shape this capability from the ground up.
Ahead of that launch, here’s a closer look at what’s new in your Xakia workspace and what’s coming next.
Outlook and Gmail upgrades: a seamless new experience
For most in-house legal teams, email is still where a large portion of the work lives and often where documents, decisions, and context can get lost.
1. A new Outlook add-in
The new Outlook add-in is designed to reduce friction by letting you manage matters, emails and documents directly from Outlook.
With the add-in, you can attach documents from your Xakia repository in a single step, and compose, send, and file emails without switching tools. The result is a faster, cleaner way to keep matters complete and up to date and your inbox under control.
2. Upgraded Gmail workflows
We’ve also made significant improvements to our Gmail integration, focusing on speed, reliability, and consistency, perfect for teams managing high email volumes.
You can now apply templates directly in Gmail, add matters faster using Quick Matter Add, and rely on expanded support for attachments and filing. Under the hood, we’ve improved how email activity is handled to ensure a more consistent experience day to day.
New dashboard features: turn data into shareable insights
Data is at its most useful to legal teams when it is easy to read, summarize and share with the stakeholders who need it.
1. Print dashboards to PDF
You can now export your dashboard to a PDF, rename it, and add commentary before sharing. This makes it much easier to update executives, prepare board packs, or share insights across the business.
2. Clearer visibility into disputes
Disputes are often one of the most complex and sensitive areas of legal work, making clarity and visibility especially important.
The dispute dashboard has been redesigned to offer richer categorization and clearer insights at a glance. New filters allow you to view disputes by category, division, and region, while a new starburst visualization provides a quick snapshot of how disputes are distributed across the organization.
Stand by for new elements on this Disputes Dashboard that will quantify your 'exposure' on all disputes. Coming in 2026!
Form Builder capabilities
Xakia’s new intake experience has arrived, marking a major step forward in how teams capture and triage work. The new drag-and-drop form builder makes it easier to design forms, resulting in a faster configuration process for legal teams and a cleaner, more intuitive submission experience for internal clients.
What’s Next
