Tell us a bit about yourself and your experience

I’m a lawyer with a passion for figuring out ways to do legal work better, which is why I now find myself as part of the Xakia team after being a customer for many years.

I’ve had a private practice and in-house legal career. In private practice, I was an M&A lawyer in international law firms and spent time in London, Moscow and Sydney. In-house, I was the Deputy General Counsel & Group Company Secretary at Coca-Cola Amatil and Group General Counsel & Company Secretary at Blackmores.

I joined Xakia in April 2022 and as Chief Product Officer, I’m responsible for a range of functions including people & culture, finance, legal, compliance and of course, the Xakia legal matter management software solution. I love helping in-house legal teams do legal stuff better!

Fun fact about you

I’ve been on a nuclear submarine in the Arctic circle. ☃️

Do you have any hidden talents most people don't know about?

I have 3 kids – the oldest of which is 7 – so I’m developing a strong game when it comes to dad jokes. Although since I’ve joined Xakia I’ve noticed strong competition in the form of our Head of Sales APAC, Paul Wyatt.

My Xakia legal matter management software tip

The legal reporting functionality in Xakia is powerful. From one core set of data, our reporting will help you understand what your team is doing, but also demonstrate your legal team’s value to your peers, your CEO and your board. A small investment of your time in understanding this functionality better will be well worth it!
